Glasses

Presentation is everything

Give your glasses a nice and frosty look by putting them at the back of the fridge for about an hour before you use them. And always make sure they are spotlessly clean and polished with a glass cloth.

Types of glasses:

Cocktail/Martini glass

Martini Glass
These are cunningly designed to keep your warm hands away from the cool drink, so that your drink stays at the most refreshing of temperatures. It has a wide bowl on a long stem. Capacity is about three standard measures.

Pocos or large cocktail glasses are used for large frothy drinks or drinks with coconut cream, like the famous Piña colada. These glasses give you enough space to add bits of fruit and garnishing to the rim.

Collins glass

Collins Glass
Also known as a tall glass or tumbler, this glass is used for serving tall drinks with fizzy mixers or fruit juice, and can substitute for a high ball glass. Capacity is about 350ml.

Tumbler or rocks glass
